Shaukat said that China is a major global power and Pakistan is proud to have a deep and multifaceted relationship with it. The all-weather, time-tested relationship between Pakistan and China is a mutual benefit and the strategic partnership enjoyed by the two countries has contributed to peace and stability in the region, he added.
Shaukat said that the world is constantly undergoing rapid changes impacting individual countries and the world as a whole. The strong relationship between China and Pakistan, which is based on solid foundations, has withstood these changes and will grow even further to create new vistas of cooperation and interdependencies, which will be a win-win situation for both countries.
Train Hits SUV at Bessemer Crossing, Baby in Vehicle
Police say a woman driving an SUV with a baby inside it was involved in a train crash just after 8 a.m. in Bessemer. That's a few hours after at least four men were killed when a train and van collided at a rural crossing in Thorsby. In the Bessemer crash, Police Chief Nathaniel Rutledge told Birmingham television station WBRC that it appeared the driver had attempted to get through the railroad crossing arms when the crash occurred. Officials say the woman jumped from the car, but the baby was still inside while the train dragged the vehicle for at least a block. The conditions of the baby and the woman are not yet available. Sunday: Walk to emphasize winter wellness
An East Stroudsburg fitness center and a Stroudsburg fast-food restaurant have joined forces to promote a healthy lifestyle and at the same time raise money for a good cause.
Donna Zlocki, owner of the all-new McDonald's on Lower Main Street, and Julie Boorse, co-owner of Pocono Wellness & Sports Center, invite families to take part in a winter wellness walk Sunday that will benefit Pocono Health Foundation, an affiliate of Pocono Medical Center.
"We want to get families in the community to walk in the winter," Boorse said. "Everybody sits at home in the winter. We want to let them know it's OK to be outside in winter."

Stefani plans baby number two
Gwen Stefani is making plans to have a second child after she completes her upcoming tour. The pop star plans to take baby Kingston on the road with her when she tours this year, and if motherhood continues to be a blessing for her, she hopes to add to her family. She says, "It's already on the itinerary... I'm ready to go."
