Stillbirths More Likely in Women Over 40

Researchers in the United States have found that women aged 40 and older who choose to have a baby are at an increased risk for stillbirth.

The BBC reported experts saying that with the recent rise in births by older women, these expectant mothers should be carefully monitored from 38 weeks onward.

Police break up alleged baby formula theft ring

COLLIER COUNTY: Authorities say they broke up a baby formula theft ring when they arrested a couple from Miami with $12,150 worth of formula in their car.

Zuny Antunezlazo, 35, and Edwin Carias, 28, were caught Tuesday allegedly stealing 12 cans of baby formula from the Sweet Bay Supermarket at 2482 Immokalee Road.

Store employees say the two were putting the cans of formula into a brown purse. It was later discovered that they had entered the store twice, taking six cans each time.

The Sheriff's Office tracked the suspects down in this green Chevy Tahoe. When they looked inside, they found 486 cans of baby formula - $12,150 worth.

"They had a large amount in their car so its unknown how long they've been doing it and where they've been doing it," said Kristin Adams of the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Gawker Walker Tour: Michael Musto's Gay Chelsea

Gay New York is a many-horned (or is it horny-manned?) beast, but the scene's habitats are slowly becoming endangered. It's the oldest, most familiar tale in New York, but baby strollers—those awful by-products of unprotected sex—have slowly pushed gay strongholds from the West Village to Chelsea and all the way to Hell's Kitchen. (With a little more fucking and domesticating, straights could back them into a corner of Inwood Park.) To better understand the refuges of the "real men," we turn to Village Voice's Michael Musto, lifelong resident of NYC and resident expert on gay nightlife. He navigates us through the wilds of what he calls "Chelsea's last gasp" and the Jersey weeds who have sucked the Saturday nightlife from it. Andrew Krucoff and photographer Nikola Tamindzic report on the homoerotic fray.

El Dorado Opening 10th Store

Miami-based El Dorado will open its 10th store on Feb. 17 in Wellington, Fla., a village in Palm Beach County. Located at 160 South State Road 7, the themed Boulevard Showroom combines facades of vintage city streets and vignettes evoking exotic locales, including 16th-century stained glass windows, Egyptian Hieroglyphics and bright yellow strollers that look like little taxis."We have not only made the store customer friendly on the inside but also on the outside. The experience begins the moment you enter our parking area with park benches, shade trees, and walkways which lead to the grandiose entrance with architectural columns," said Robert Capó, El Dorado's chief marketing officer. Thousands of customers from across South Florida are expected for the Feb. 17 grand opening, and the company will host a private grand opening event the preceding night.
